Terry Benjamin is a dedicated and compassionate Peer Support Specialist since 2007, dually trained in Substance Use and Mental Health Disorders, certified through the prestigious UNC Chapel Hill School of Medicine. As a valued member of an Assertive Community Treatment (ACT) team, Terry brings a unique blend of professional expertise and lived experience to support individuals on their journey toward recovery and empowerment.

With a rich background in Spirituality and Divinity, Terry has cultivated a deep understanding of diverse perspectives and philosophies, enabling them to connect with individuals from all walks of life. This holistic approach allows Terry to meet patients exactly where they are, offering tailored resources and tools to help them navigate life’s challenges and take control of their personal narratives.

Having overcome significant obstacles in my own life, I have been uniquely positioned to empathize with and support those facing similar struggles. Having lived experience, combined with professional training, equips me to provide practical guidance, hope, and encouragement to individuals striving to build healthier, more fulfilling lives.
