Sarah T. Helms is a Gaston County, NC native who initially earned a Bachelor of Science in Nursing degree at the University of North Carolina at Charlotte, followed by a Master of Science in Nursing degree with a specialty in Family Nurse Practitioner at Winston Salem State University. She has over twenty- five years of experience in the healthcare field, initially working as a registered nurse in the emergency department setting and subsequently as a nurse practitioner in local health department and rural healthcare settings. As a health care provider with experience in women’s health and primary care, she has a special interest in serving those in the community in which she lives, providing holistic care to all, and developing a long-term therapeutic relationship with her patients. Sarah enjoys traveling, spending time with family and friends, attending concerts, working on home projects, and cooking.
